Crown PrincessA fire broke out on the Crown Princess Thursday night in the back stage of the Princess theater. It was extinguished with no reports of injury.

The P & O Oriana has made it back safely to the Port of Miami last night after a fire broke out on the ship.

According to a Greek newspaper, a high speed catamaran, High Speed 5, undergoing repairs in an area near Piraeus Greecearea, called Keratsini, caught on fire today. 

40 fire fighters and 13 vehicles battled the fire. 

Unfortunately, the ship’s Chief Electrician lost his life during the firefighting operations. 

The vessel is operated by Hellenic Seaways.

A reader of Cruise Law News said that there was a small fire reportedly on Jewel of the Seas.

Royal Caribbean did not make an announcement about the fire. There was no air conditioning for five hours.
