We were notified a few minutes ago that a passenger has gone overboard from the Costa Classica cruise ship after the ship sailed from Casablanca, Morocco.
The AIS tracking shows the cruise ship searching for the passenger.
A person from the ship contacted us about the man overboard and indicated that it was a male
According to the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero a measles outbreak has occurred on the Costa Pacifica cruise ship.
The newspaper says that dozens of cruise passengers were probably infected with the virus that causes measles. The cruise ship called on the port of Civitavecchia.

Its been two years since the deadly Costa Concordia disaster. It’s much safer now the cruise lines assure us.
The cruise line trade organization, CLIA, reminds us of all of the new protocols which the cruise industry implemented shortly after the Concordia capsized.
