Carnival Pride Fire Several people on the Carnival Pride tell me that a fire occurred in the engine room of engine no. 1 last night.

One passenger described the fire as involving an explosion of the engine.

The fire was extinguished and the Pride was delayed arriving at the next port (Half Moon Cay) today.

It seems that last night around midnight a German guest (not our source of information) reported that his wife was missing from the ship. He thought that she jumped overboard. There were allegedly footprints on the couple’s balcony table

Carnival BreezeYesterday, while the cruise world was following the news of the fire aboard the Carnival Liberty, a cruise passenger went overboard from the Carnival Breeze.

Reportedly, a highly intoxicated passenger (people are saying 30 – 35 years of age) went overboard while the Carnival cruise ship was off the coast of Cuba.

The fire took place when the cruise ship was docked in St. Thomas USVI.  Cruise passengers were reportedly evacuated ashore, some wearing life vests.
