Military Technologies reports that the U.S. Coast Guard medevaced a 66 year old passenger last night. I just received a message from a reader of Cruise Law News that Carnival announced that the new Carnival Vista is having propulsion problems.
Carnival stated on its Facebook page that the Carnival Vista is experiencing what it calls a “technical” problem with its propulsion system which is “affecting only its maximum cruising speed.”
Excursion Bus Crash in Dominica Kills Cruise Passenger
A Dominican newspaper reports that an excursion bus carrying ten passengers from the P&O Azura was involved in a serious accident yesterday in the country of Dominica. One passenger died and nine others were injured.

U.S. Coast Guard Medevacs Passenger from HAL’s Rotterdam
The U.S. Coast Guard medevaced a 63-year-old woman from a Holland America Line (HAL) cruise ship approximately 60 miles east of Virginia Beach yesterday morning.
The HAL Rotterdam was sailing from Boston to Fort Lauderdale, Florida when it requested the Coast Guard to medically evacuation a passenger who was reportedly suffering from stroke-like symptoms.

Illness Outbreak Hits Fathom’s Adonia
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that there was an illness outbreak on Fathom’s Adonia this past week (October 16 – October 23, 2016).
