Carnival Cruise Passengers Admit Plotting to Import $400,000 of Pot Into Bermuda

Newspapers in Bermuda are reporting today that two American women admitted plotting to import more than $400,000 of cannabis resin on a cruise ship into Bermuda.

In early October of this year, the Bermuda authorities arrested Alloah Jatan Releford, age 23, from Temple, Georgia, and Latoya Nicole Powell, age 27, from Marietta, Georgia. They had sailed from Charleston, South Carolina to Bermuda aboard Carnival's Fantasy cruise ship.

The drugs were found strapped to the women’s bodies.  The total weight was 2.7 kgs (6lbs), with a street value estimated to be over $400,000.

The cruise passengers will be sentenced next month.

Why would yhew ship drugs in to the United States if yhew knw yhew are going the get caught. It would be such nonsense tew do something that doesn't at all make sense. So these two ladies deserve to go into jail or some place that will correct this kind of behavior from anymore breaking outn into the united states just hope to see them once improving the world. that's what i think of our theif situation. Deserve to go into jail and they should take the convincted suspect who took all this drugs onto the boat they could have had something happen to them bet they wouldn't do it then if they thought of all the bad ideas to happen on the boat. Just hope they do very well with their pushiment
