A 67-year-old Tasmanian woman drowned while snorkeling the Tangalooma Wrecks at Moreton Island, Australia on Friday, April 17. The woman, who has not been publicly identified, was a passenger aboard the Carnival Splendor, which offers snorkeling excursions to the Tangalooma Wrecks.

Today, I received emails from passengers, who disembarked from the Anthem of the Seas, that there had been a drowning on the Royal Caribbean ship yesterday. One guest stated:
Last Wednesday, I received a number of messages from cruise passengers about an incident on board Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas regarding what was described as a woman (passenger) who either suffered a heart attack or nearly drowned in one of the ship’s swimming pools.
In the last nine months, four children age 6 or younger have drowned or nearly drowned on cruise ships.
News broke tonight that two small children were pulled from a pool from NCL’s Norwegian Breakaway as the cruise ship was sailing from New York to the Bahamas this morning.
