A Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) cruise ship on Sunday, September 2, 2018 stopped its cruise to the Caribbean and Mexico and deployed a lifeboat to pick up four Cuban nationals spotted “in the middle of the ocean,” according to a report by Fox News.

CNN is reporting that a Disney cruise ship stopped yesterday during a cruise to the Cayman Islands to pick up 12 Cubans who took to sea to leave their homeland.
The Disney Wonder was cruising from Miami to Grand Cayman when the cruise ship saw the make-shift boat full of Cubans around 8 p.m. yesterday.
Cubans "rescued" on the high seas are hardly rescued. They are brought aboard cruise ships only long enough to be transferred onto Coast Guard cutters to be taken back to Cuba.

The Miami Herald reports that Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas "rescued" twenty-three Cuban rafters as the cruise ship sailed from Falmouth Jamaica to Cozumel Mexico.
The story was also reported by the online cruise community Cruise Critic which uploaded a YouTube video about what it is also calling a "rescue." Cruise Critic says that
