Last night HLN reported on the highly publicized sexual assault incident on the Carnival Sensation cruise ship.  A 15 year old girl alleges that she was gang-raped inside a cabin during a Caribbean cruise. A 31 year old man allegedly encouraged two underage boys to join him in sexually assaulting the girl.

The Miami Herald reports that a Royal Caribbean crew member sexually assaulted a passenger during a New Year’s cruise according to the allegation in a lawsuit filed last week.  The newspaper reports that the sex attack was partially captured on surveillance video.

There has been a lot of news lately about cruise ship disasters, like ship fires, groundings and sinkings. But the most likely danger that a passenger, woman or child, faces during a cruise is rape.
