Two brawls reportedly broke out on NCL’s Norwegian Encore earlier this week, with one fight captured by a cruise passenger, identified as Robert Steele, who posted the melee’ on his Facebook page.

He also posted the following comments with the video: “On 34th cruise and first one with a major security incident. NCL Encore last night. Second fight of night. Rednecks. I believe that they are being kicked off the ship today in San Juan. Otherwise a fantastic cruise so far!”

The Norwegian Encore is currently on a one week Caribbean cruise which left from Miami a week ago. It sailed to San Juan, Puerto Rico on March 3rd, St Thomas, USVI on March 4th, Tortola, and British Virgin Islands on March 5th, The NCL ship will now sail to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas on March 7th before it returns to Miami on Sunday.

I have written a number of article about fights breaking out on cruise ships. It seems like most, but certainly not all, such brawls occur on Carnival cruise ships.  Watch Top 5 Brawls on Carnival’s Fun Ships.

This outbreak may well have broken out for the usual reasons – too much alcohol and too few (and undersized) security guards.  I’m not sure and I haven’t spoken with anyone on the cruise. But you can see a number of those in the fight holding on to their drinks and beer bottles as they swing wildly at one another.

Fortunately, it does not look like anyone was seriously injured, although not from a lack of effort.

One person who commented on the Facebook post suggested since that since the video has no sound, that you play the Benny Hill soundtrack to the video.  I agree, the video is best watched with the soundtrack playing in the background!
