The Grand Celebration suffered an electrical blackout yesterday which delayed its departure from the Port of Palm Beach to the Bahamas for over 6 hours.

WTPV-5 says that passengers complained that there was no electricity, water or air conditioning on the cruise ship and the toilets would not flush The television station interviewed one person on the ship who said:

"It’s a hundred degrees on that ship. Everyone is just kind of standing there. They don’t tell you anything. Then they have a little attitude because we’re asking questions. But we want to know. It took us a lot of time to get from home to here."

The cruise ship, which was supposed to leave at 6:00 PM, finally departed after midnight.  Some passengers refused to cruise on the ship and stayed in local hotels.
