The U.S. Coast Guard reports that it medevaced a 13 year old boy from the Norwegian Getaway cruise ship yesterday afternoon, northwest of Puerto Rico.

The NCL cruise ship notified the Coast Guard in San Juan that the boy required medical attention ashore when the ship was sailing from Miami to St. Marteen.

A MH-65 Dolphin helicopter flew to the NCL ship and hoisted the boy, his mother and a cruise ship doctor. 

The boy, who’s from New York, was transported by to the “Centro Medico" Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
